Rob Lanphear is an experienced and trusted Richmond real estate professional with a background spanning both the commercial and residential markets. As the managing director of Pivot, Rob oversees every client engagement and helps development teams navigate a variety of complex real estate scenarios. We also develop our own projects using the same process and approach.
Rob has recently developed subdivisions in Henrico County, guided the planning, entitlement and sale of the Ridgefield Green subdivision (66 townhouse lots currently under construction with HHHunt), and worked with the Stanley Shield Partnership on all facets of residential and commercial projects throughout the Richmond area, including the 110,000 sq. ft. VCU Medical Office building and the 35,000 sq. ft. Virginia Women’s Center in Short Pump. In the summer of 2017, Rob teamed with Devon USA to facilitate approval and construction of the 320,000 sf Amazon building near Ashland, Virginia. Rob consults with real estate companies such as East West Communities using his experience with both suburban and urban infill development.
A past Executive Board member of the Home Builders Association of Richmond, Rob spent 15 years with NVR Inc. (Ryan Homes), with the first five years managing the construction of hundreds of homes followed by a decade in land acquisition and development, responsible for supplying the Richmond area division with building lots. Rob lives in western Henrico County with his wife, Lesley, and three daughters, Kate, Lauren and Jenna.
